If you have a martial Initiator with a swift action movement source, you can take a solid shot, move as needed, and still use your bluff skill to juice up your AC. There's a feat in PHB II, I forget the name, that let's you make bluff checks too boost AC for a move action. Also handy with stand still + Knock down, and I think you can stack a maneuver onto that, though I'm not sure. Pounce + swift action movement source also let's you move in, swing at him several times, and move away, simulating extrema speed.Ī little bit of Binder form tome of magic, if your handy with it, can net you heavy armor, the ability to move well in heavy armor, and the ability to move through an area once every five turns and attack every foe you move past. And pouncing charge is a nice tactic change during the encounter when your low on/out of helpful maneuvers to throw. Robilars Gambit, a High Dex, Combat Reflexes, and Karmatic Strike along with Stand Still and Knock down are handy to have for extra attacks when it's not your turn, and for making attacks made on and off your turn count more by hampering your opponents even if they survive the damage you and/or your party puts out that particular round.Īn Incarnum dip can get you pounce and extra damage on Power attack for when your trying to one shot that target. Personally, I like Item Familiar for this, since I can customize my weapon, have it grow with me, and use the Extra XP to buy off a template or two. Take Mountain Hammer and maybe Sudden Leap though, there handy. Focus on Diamond Mind and Iron Heart Maneuvers.
